Part 1: Colloquium:

We are pleased to invite you to our special Colloque sur la réglementation du Projet de loi 16, to be held on Friday, October 4, 2024, at the Château Royal in Laval, starting at 10 a.m.

Following the publication by the Government of Quebec, on September 11, of a critically important Draft Regulation in the Gazette officielle, we wish to inform you that this regulation, once adopted, will implement major provisions of Bills 16 and 31. This legislative change will bring substantial amendments to the Civil Code of Québec, introducing new obligations for syndicates of co-owners in terms of transparency, financial management and building maintenance.

We urge you to participate in the RGCQ, as your voice is essential in shaping the future of condominium management. This day will be a valuable opportunity to exchange and highlight your point of view, thus actively contributing to the evolution of the regulations.

During this event, we will address crucial points such as :

  • The maintenance booklet: Importance and revision
  • Contingency fund study
  • Compliance management: Syndicate attestation when selling a fraction of co-ownership, deposit in trust of the deposit, transitional provisions and coming into force.

Throughout the day, you'll also have the opportunity to discover the kiosks hosted by our various partners.

You'll also have the opportunity to register on the day of the event for a free legal consultation with Dunton Rainville (space is limited, so register at the reception desk).

We look forward to seeing many of you at this important event. Get involved and make a difference!
