The RGCQ Enhances Its Training Offerings

Two Learning Pathways to Better Address the Realities of Co-ownership

News

A new approach for 2026–2027, focused on skills development, knowledge sharing, and the evolution of best practices.

The co-ownership sector is undergoing significant changes. The evolving legislative framework, increasingly complex responsibilities, and new expectations placed on industry stakeholders require up-to-date knowledge, appropriate tools, and a better understanding of the challenges specific to each group.

Recognizing these realities, the Regroupement des gestionnaires et copropriétaires du Québec (RGCQ) continues to enhance its training and professional development offerings for 2026–2027.

This initiative is structured around two complementary learning pathways, designed to better meet the needs of the various stakeholders in co-ownership and support their skills development.

Two Learning Pathways, One Shared Ambition: Advancing Co-ownership Practices

A Learning Pathway for Board Members and Co-owners

This first pathway aims to strengthen knowledge and facilitate a better understanding of the responsibilities associated with co-ownership.

The approach will prioritize accessible, practical content tailored to the realities of Syndicates of Co-owners, helping board members and co-owners better understand the challenges they face and make informed decisions.

A Learning Pathway for Property Managers and Co-ownership Professionals

The second pathway will place greater emphasis on professional development, operational issues, and the challenges encountered in carrying out day-to-day responsibilities.

Beyond acquiring knowledge, the RGCQ aims to encourage the sharing of experiences, discussions on best practices, and the development of practical tools for industry professionals.

For co-ownership property managers, this initiative is also part of the ongoing work of the RGCQ's Property Managers Committee, which helps guide initiatives based on the needs identified in the field.

A More Structured, Targeted, and Practice-Oriented Approach

Through these two pathways, the RGCQ aims to go beyond simply offering a series of training sessions.

The goal is to provide a more cohesive program in which activities complement one another and contribute to the progressive development of knowledge and skills.

This approach is built on three essential principles:

  • Relevance: Addressing practical issues that reflect participants' responsibilities and concerns.

  • Skills development: Promoting continuing education adapted to evolving obligations and practices.

  • Knowledge sharing: Encouraging exchanges among the various stakeholders in co-ownership and highlighting the industry's collective experience.

By structuring its offerings around distinct yet complementary pathways, the RGCQ also seeks to strengthen connections among board members, co-owners, property managers, and professionals who contribute to the sound management of co-owned properties.

A 2026–2027 Program to Be Announced Soon

Work on the 2026–2027 calendar of activities and training sessions is ongoing, with the aim of delivering a relevant program tailored to the needs of the co-ownership sector.

Topics, activities, and participation details will be announced progressively once the program has been finalized and approved.

This initial announcement marks another step in the RGCQ's commitment to supporting its members, recognizing professional expertise, and contributing to the evolution of co-ownership practices.

Stay tuned: the RGCQ will soon share more details about its two learning pathways and the activities they will include.
