We invite you to this new in-person conference in Gatineau, on the subject of electric cars and charging stations.

With more and more electric vehicles on our urban landscape, the demand for charging stations is also on the rise. With the goal of reducing Quebec's greenhouse gas emissions before the end of the century, the sale of vehicles of this type has become essential. However, the majority of condominiums are not adapted to the installation of charging stations. For some, this means building work to provide enough space to accommodate them, as well as an increase in common expenses for electricity consumption. This is a divisive issue, and one that is becoming a real topic in condominiums.

First, Ms. Ruth Labbé, president of her union and director of the RGCQ Outaouais, will address the questions and steps that a CA should consider when setting up charging stations.

Next, co-ownership lawyer Ghislain Raymond will discuss the legal aspects of such a project. He will discuss, among other things, possible amendments to the declaration of co-ownership, the process for adoption of the project by co-owners (votes), and the apportionment of project costs.

In the third part, Mr. Guy Michaud, president of his syndicate and director of the RGCQ Outaouais, will present his experience in preparing the project and presenting it to his co-owners.

This activity will be offered in French only.
